Print Works

Web Print works

Printworks are part of the broad church of Art but they are in themselves quite distinctive. The resulting images are a combination of skills and techniques of the printmaker and the unique vision of the artist. There are many methods that produce the printed image; from the humble potato cut to the linocut; the process of silkscreen and lithography; to the engraver and the etcher. Each area has their own unique techniques and the artist/printmaker needs to develop considerable skills for their image to be brought to completion.

My own education included linocut, silkscreen, lithography and dry point but I developed a passion for etching. I enjoyed not only the look but also the process which was in equal measure skill, technique and image.
